This conference is designed to present industry best practices in Threat and Error Management (TEM) as implemented in the air carrier environment from the Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA).Dr. James Klinect from the LOSA Collaborative in Austin, Texas will present LOSA including how the audit functions, what can be learned from LOSA data in US Domestic and International Carriers, and how TEM techniques and practices emerged from LOSA.
Continental Airlines, Horizon Air, and JetBlue Airways will present modules from their TEM curriculums and will highlight how LOSA and other safety data sources are driving their training curriculums.
The application and implementation of TEM concepts into pilot CRM training and standards became a natural outgrowth from LOSA. TEM effective crews are managing both routine and non-routine flight operations to better enhance the operational safety margin.
The conference will be held in the Elrey B. Jeppesen Terminal Building at the Denver International Airport.
