
Over 80 professionals in aerospace science and industry gathered in San Antonio, Texas from nine countries including Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Iceland and the United Sates. They represented 63 organizations from the Military, Academia, Corporate and Commercial Flight Operations including Helicopter and Fixed Wing, Federal and Regulatory Agencies, Aerospace Medicine, Aviation Safety Consulting and Educational Companies.
The purpose of the two day conference was to build bridges between the human factors sciences/research communities, and aerospace educators and flight operations departments and organizations. Presentations on the latest research in aviation human factors and industry best practices in flight operations training and safety were presented in a two day format, beginning with the academic and research updates on day one then industry best practices in human factors training and organizational safety in flight operations on day two.
